I like that Macy's stand behind their products and you can return an item for any reason! In fact, Macy's Customer Service has been great the times I had to call. I had a Macy's account before they even issued cards. I have shopped in a store, by telephone and in more recent years online. Never ever had a problem of any kind. Returns are easy if necessary and almost immediately credited to your account. If you carry a balance on your card the interest rates are high but I normally pay mine when due or within 90 days so that is not an issue.
Overall I love this store and always have. Since I no longer live near a physical location the card makes it easy to shop plus the rewards are decent too and you get special offers on a regular basis. I love this card! Once I found out you can request a credit increase every 30 days I've been more in love I first had the store credit card and then after some months they automatically upgraded me to the Macy's American Express. Just make your payments on time and they treat you right.
I pay off the card the month I use it. You just have to be smart about your credit. My limit was payed it off and they lowered it to five hundred dollars, I told them to close it and I'll never shop Macy's ever again. Donot ever get furniture with Macys Credit Card month financing.
When they offered month financing with no interest, it sounded a pretty good deal but what happened was my credit score dropped by 65 points in just 1 month.
Even a new home mortgage didnot drop so much points. It dropped so much in 1 month. Building a credit takes a long time. Super Annoyed. I got this card only to help build my credit score quickly. This card is an excelent and one of the best ways to build your credit if used properly. It is a revolving line of credit which actually lets you submit for credit line increases very easily online. I bumped up my credit line every month or so by 2k and once 5k. Pay it off early, don't use up more than 10 percent of the credit available and you can increase your credit score pretty quickly.

Stay Oway Worst card ever!!! Avoid it if you can!!! They lie!!!. They report late payment to a credit bureau, and my credit score change from to After 20 years i'm pulling this card from my wallet. They don't deserve good customers and they are not loyal. I have had this card for a year. I have used it, paid it off, used it paid it off. Actually my card has been at a 0 balance for the past few months. Very rude customer services.
Oh BTW, in 30 years I have never had this happen. Just applied online and was approved but don't know how much im approved for Customer service said In the process of rebuilding credit.
I have 4 credit cards, 2 of those are with First Premier in which I used to rebuild credit and of course Capital One. The other is through a bank and neither of them have high credit limits. I pay each bill on time each month plus I make an additional payment on each card each month. I've always wanted a Macy's card because of the benefits. I only plan to use it very rarely and specifically for the discounts and pay the balance off within 25 - 60 days. Major smiles over here.
Approved 7 years this November after bankruptcy. I will ask for an increase in November or December. I have about 6 inquires and was still approved. Transunion equifax im trying to built up my crdit. They send lots of coupons monthly for both cards. Coupons are helpful but exclude a lot of items. Macys Company is so irresponsible and unprofessional in its credit card services and also tricky to fool people like me to use their macys cards in different places while this company never provides a decent support and customer service to them. It seems to me that Macys has just paid an amount of money to American Express to get the permission to put that logo but your customers should know that this card is no way considered an Amex Card.
Now I can vividly see the difference between the card that I had expected to receive and the actual card that I am holding. I love the red card! I can call every 2 months and they have no problem with giving me a CLI. But the increases paid off well with on time payments and paying more than the minimum payment.
